Riding the bus into Prague from the airport, I noticed the familiar golden
arches and wondered whether my first visit might be too late to fully experience
the unique nature of the city. I needn't have worried. Not only has
the massive inflow of young western (and eastern) tourists not caused the city
to lose any of that Bohemian mystique, neither did the soviet occupation of the
